RYAN ROBERTSON (BRITISH ACT. 1982) An architectural facade depicting Ship House, 20 Buckingham Gate, London SW 1 signed and dated 1982 (lower right) pen and ink, watercolour and bodycolour 79 x 54 cm accompanied with a certificate of authenticity (attached to the reverse). At 20 Buckingham Gate an unusual stepped gabled house is now occupied by the High Commission of the Kingdom Of Swaziland, but the first occupant was Emil Heinemann, a wealthy banker. The house was designed by Reginald Blomfield. The carved brick frieze of ‘the bather’ is attributed to Henry Alfred Pegram (1862-1937).
