The Property of a Lady 女士藏品 Anonymous Probably Ming Dynasty Fisherman Album leaf, ink and colour on silk, with silk-brocade border, glazed and framed, bearing spurious seals of Sheng Mao (active circa 1310-1360) reading Sheng Mao 盛懋 and Zizhao 子昭. 24cm (9 1/2in) high x 23.2cm (9 1/8in) wide. 注脚 或明 獨釣圖 絹本設色 鏡框裝裱 Provenance: Dr Stiassny, Switzerland Mrs Gret Hasler (1895-1971), Winterthur, Switzerland, acquired from the above in 1941, and thence by descent Exhibited: Asiatische Kunst, Bern and Zurich, 1941 (according to the collector's notes) A trip to New York, Chicago and Washington in 1937 was the starting point for Mrs Gret Hasler's interest in Chinese art.
