A LONGQUAN CELADON-GLAZED 'LOTUS' DISH AND A LONGQUAN CELADON-GLAZED MOULDED AND CARVED 'LOTUS' DISH Ming Dynasty, 14th/15th century and 15th century The large sturdily potted dish with an everted rim and deep rounded cavetto, carved to the centre with a single leafy lotus spray, the rim with foliate scroll work, covered in a glossy, thick sea green glaze; the smaller dish with a moulded central flower spray within freely carved foliate designs to the cavetto and wave motifs to the rim. 40.7cm (16in) and 33.7cm (13 1/4in) diam.
