A pair of giltwood wall mirrors in Regency style, 20th century, each with floral verre eglomise cresting, 109cm high, 41cm wide overall For a single mirror of related form, see Christie's, London, European Furniture, Works of Art, Tapestries and Carpets, 7th June 2005, Lot 378 (£1,920). Condition Report: Marks, knocks, scratches, scuffs and abrasions commensurate with age and use. One pineapple finial with a different surface treatment. There are differences in colour and style of the two verre eglomise panels. One glass is missing a corner section of glass. One urn shaped finial is detached. Some chips and knocks to the giltwood, revealing the white gesso, underlying wood and in some places terracotta wash. Some later gilt paint. One mirror plate with some spotting to the silvering. The pediments with some movement where they join the frames. The backs with a stained wash, some splits to the backboards. Please see additional photographs for a visual reference to condition.
