A rare late 19th century Iranian (Persian) unmarked silver footed bowl, Isfahan circa 1890 Qajar dynasty, the bowl of inverted bell form with an applied band rim with later cloisonne enamel blue pellets, all upon a domed pedestal foot. Decorated with engraved ghalam zani panels depicting various scenes such as a shepherd with goats, a horse and rider, a cart drawn by a donkey, figures with bowls, axes, or libations, all reserved with foliage. The panels above and below alternating bands of trailing foliage and arabesques. The stem with panels of figures above similar bands of arabesques and of rosettes, the foot rim with engraved herringbone pattern.
