A matched set of four George II/III sterling silver salts, three London 1732 by John Pero (reg. 23rd Nov 1732) On compressed circular ‘cauldron’ form, raised upon three lion paw feet with lion mask junctions and wrap around tails. Corded rims. Each with traces of an engraved crest of a demi-eagle with a horseshoe in the mouth. One a later replacement of the same form marked for London 1760 by David Hennell. Each fully marked underneath. (4) Diameter – 8 cm / 3.1 inches Weight – 426 grams / 13.7 ozt
