A 19TH CENTURY TAXIDERMY SPECIMEN OF A PAIR OF SCOTTISH WILDCATS WITH PTARMIGAN The Scottish collection. Originally from The Moor and Loch Room of John Colquhoun. This collection of taxidermy was the collection of John Colquhoun son of James Colquhoun, 3rd Baronet of Luss, Dumbartonshire and was shot on the family estate by John Colquhoun mid 19th century. John Colquhoun was a famous sportsman and author of many renowned books on Scottish sports such as ‘The Moor and the Loch’, ‘Rocks and Rivers’, and‘Salmon Casts and Stray Shots’.
