永乐时期，朝廷管理监烧御瓷，力求陶艺埏埴之臻善臻美，促使中国瓷业发展兴盛，创新纷呈，无论器形、风格、釉色、纹饰皆新品层出，大放异彩，技术巧思，一日千里，几近极限，以致后世数百年间未见重要创新，出不少空前绝后之工艺佳器，千古传颂。纵观中国历史，应唯有三百年后雍正一朝的瓷艺发展，可与之媲美。全器罩施翠青釉，釉色肥润，如脂若腴。观之若青玉，抚之胜雪肌。素雅的釉色与简约的造型搭配，可谓相得益彰。
