款识：大明万历寅年造 香盘为焚香之器物，是宋明以后线香流行的产物。在此之前，还有使用木兰、申椒、菌桂、杜衡、秋菊等香草，后亦有乳香、沉香、檀香等，以上香料皆用香囊或香炉焚烧，而线香的流行直接改变了焚香器物的形制，将燃烧范围缩小到方寸之间。此件香盘为侈口，敛壁，平底，下承三如意形矮足。盘中心设鎏金香插，上留小口，便于插香。香盘内外壁均饰掐丝珐琅西番莲纹，色泽典雅丰富，器型优雅精致，为书斋焚香静读之良伴。
