Around the flag strelitzia tendril on imitation lapis lazuli. In the mirror the coat of arms of Mecklenburg-Strelitz flanked by a bull and a griffin, framed by the chain of the black order of the eagle, crowned by a purple underlaid bow crown, underneath oak leaves and virtue written on a blue ribbon: ''THIEVE RIGHT AND BEWARE OF NO ONE.'', Ø 24 cm, Literature Cf. The Grand Duke Georg Friedrich of Mecklenburg-Strelitz was married to Marie Landgravine of Hesse-Kassel and brother of Marie Luise of Prussia. The flower Strelitzie was named after Charlotte Sophia Princess of Mecklenburg-Strelitz (1744-1818).
