Condition Bronze with dark patina and residue of gilding. Crowned, dressed in elaborate breast-jewelry and ribbons, sitting on a double lotus. Both hands in dharmachakra mudra. On the back of the base a longer inscription: Jiajing shiqi nian san yu ji ri zao (At agood day in the third month in the 19th year of the Jiajing period), Shanxi tia yuan fu wen shui xian ming... (province of Shanxi, possibly by order of Wangshi..). Height 19.5cm. Condition B.Provenance:-Private collection Northern Germany, acquired since the 1850s.
