PROVENANCE: From private collectors in Gables Estates, Miami, Florida. Measurements: Height: 29.5 cm, Diam: 29.5cm Chinese Ming Dynasty Blue and White Peacock Porcelain Jar. Potted with a large cylindrical vessel, jar shape, globular belly heavy on shoulder, round mouth rim, short neck, and raised on ring foot base slight concave. Hand painted ornamentations are rendered in clean white base color which contrast against blue fine color, depicted of standing peacock on the rocky rock surrounded with flowers bloom, foliage and scrolling interlocking tendril. There is not any overlap of the outlines, its well carved, clear, subtle, and distinct.The underside unglazed, revealed the pale-creme ground revealed and dark greyish brown spotted firing marks and edge-cut foot rim.
