Georgia Doble and Robert Gathorne-Hardy Association copy, Soho: Nonesuch Press, 1924. single volume, first edition, Limited edition, numbered 208 of 375 copies, 4to., (275 x 195mm), original black boards, gilt lettering to front and spine, edges untrimmed, signed and dated in pencil to front free e/p., 'Georgia Doble / May 1924', and further signed to front free e/p., 'R.E. Gathorne Hardy / May 1924', twelve wood-engravings in black and white after Paul Nash, printed at the Curwen Press, in Rudolph Koch's Neuland type on Zanders hand-made paper with the Curwen Press watermark. Georgia Doble (1905-1980), married Sacheverell Sitwell, 6th Baronet (1897-1988), in Paris, October 25, 1925. Robert Gathorne-Hardy (1902-1973), was a British writer, botanist, horticulturalist, and a friend of the Sitwells.Provenance: The Sitwell Family Library, Weston Hall.
