SITWELL FAMILY PHOTOGRAPHS: a group of eight framed photographs, c. 1920s-1962. comprises: LENARE. (British, fl. 1924-1977). Two portrait photographs of Georgia Sitwell and Sacheverell Sitwell, c. 1920s. the first - depicting Georgia Sitwell wearing pearls, a bromide print, signed lower right, the image 24.4 x 32cm, with a later, smaller black and white photograph added within the frame, depicting Georgia with her husband, Sacheverell Sitwell, who is wearing the Home Guard uniform, ca. 1945, framed and glazed; the second - a portrait of Sacheverell Sitwell, a bromide print, signed in the margin lower right, a lion motif lower left, the image 31.5 x 24cm, framed and glazed. Leonard George Green (1883-1946), opened the Lenare Studio, 28 George Street, Hanover Square, London in 1924, the studio specialised in society portraits; UNKNOWN. Lady Ida Sitwell was the wife of Sir George Sitwell, and the mother of Edith, Osbert, and Sacheverell; UNKNOWN. Georgia Sitwell, nee Doble. (1905 - 1980). two black and white photographs, the first - depicting Georgia seated wearing a tiara, the image 22.5 x 17cm, the smaller image - depicting Georgia standing and holding a book, the image 16.5 x 16.3cm, within mount, framed and glazed; UKNOWN. Col. Hon. Henry Hely-Hutchinson. (1790 - 1874). a black and white photograph within circular cream mount, the image 13 x 8.3cm, printed inset title beneath, framed and glazed.
