He is particularly known for his paintings of cats and the numerous illustrated books he has made, including 'Comic and Curious Cats' which featured a text by Angela Carter, making him a natural heir to Louis Wain.Held in a wooden frame, with minor scuff marks. Craquelure bottom right corner and top left corner. There are two raised diagonal bands of canvas in the top right corner, with associated craquelure and staining to the reverse of the canvas. Painted surface in otherwise good condition. Unlined.
