Prince Albert', VR beneath two crowns and Feby. 10 1840 and a monogram WEH, a later presentation beneath, 26cm (10 1/4in) long, 495g (15.9 oz) weighableQueen Victoria and Prince Albert were married on 10th February 1840 in the Chapel Royal of St James's Palace.William Hawes (1785-1846) was a musician and composer. He was the Master of the Children of the Chapel Royal and musical director of the Lyceum Theatre: bringing several notable works to the public's attention. The later inscription reads 'Presented to Mrs J. B. Morison on occasion Launch of S. D. Nebula, Inverness 7th Sept. 1918'.The naval drifter Nebula was a steel screw steamer built for the Royal Navy in 1918 by Rose Street Foundry & Engineering Co. Ltd. of Inverness. She was sold off in 1920 and had a number of name changes with changes of ownership, again seeing Admiralty service in harbour duties from 1941 to 1945, and was broken up in 1955. Condition Report Light scratches and wear commensurate with age and use, no dents, splits or repairs. Clear marks and inscriptions. A few nibbles to the glass, one foot chipped
