Whatman in the year of our Lord MCMXI', on a baluster stem embossed with a shield, a crest and motto Qui Sis Non Unde, the conical foot embossed with a band of lobes and pellets, 13cm (5in) high, 279g (8.95 oz)The arms, crest and motto for WHATMAN of London, possibly for Arthur Dunbar Whatman (1873-1965), a cricketer of the early twentieth century who played as a wicketkeeper for Suffolk County Cricket Club. Condition Report General overall condition good with minor nicks and surface scratching commensurate with age and use. Marks rubbed.
