A JAPANESE MIXED METAL KOGO BY INOUE OF KYOTO MEIJI PERIOD, 19TH CENTURY The cover of the incense box decorated with a butterfly fluttering above daisies and peonies, the design rendered in low relief with gilt, silver and shibuichi, with gilt mounts to the rims, the round body stamped to the base with Dai Nihon Saikyo ju Inoue sei (Great Japan, made by Inoue of West Kyoto), 12.1cm.
