这对掐丝珐琅大象造型规整，皆呈立姿，身材壮硕，粗腿长鼻，细眼金尾，毛发以鎏金掐丝来表现，头、鼻、尾皆以黑、红、黄等色的宝带为装饰，背上有童子，童子头戴虎头帽，成对陈设，好似在嬉戏。 掐丝珐琅在元代就开始生产，先用铜打成坯件，之后把铜丝拉製成所需要的纹饰轮廓，之后焊接在铜胎上，之后按需要填涂色料，再入窑烧製，之后鎏金，然后再抛光，工艺十分繁复，纹饰华美，造价极为高昂，均为富商巨贾的陈设用器，大多是定烧器，这对摆件寓意吉祥，品相完美，製作精细，是为难得的佳品。
