A Victorian cast silver-plated novelty inkstand, circa 1852 Modelled as a young boy, breeches rolled up at the knees above bare feet, picking grapes from a vine which supports a taper-holder, his ribbon-tied straw hat on the ground in front and flanked by two inkwell holders modelled as wicker baskets crammed to the top with grapes, on rocky base flanked by vines, the pair of inkwell holders each containing an original silver-mounted cranberry glass inkwell with hinged cover by Henry Manton, Birmingham, 1852, 19cm high, 25cm wide.
