A THANGKA DEPICTING SADAKSHARILOKESHVARA Tibet, 19th ct. 85,5 x 63,5 cm The centre with the white Sadaksharilokeshvara seated in vajrasana on a lotus-base with his principle hands in anjalimudra while both others holding rosary and lotus-flower, wearing dhoti, bejewelled, his face displaying a serene expression and his hair combed in a chignon, Amitayus and Amitabha placed above him, surrounded by many lamas, bodhisattvas, dharmapalas, the four lokapalas, six Buddhas of the Past, dakinis and the lower register showing donor with attendant and two dharmapalas.
