Condition Report Marks, knocks, scratches and abrasions commensurate with age and use. Old splits and chips. Some sections of moulding re-secured using glue and small nails (see images). Various old veneer repairs. Timber has a previously been cleaned by a restorer. Some fading to colour overall. Some splits to the sides with filler applied to help disguise. Lock plates vary from one another. No key present, all locks are open. Some evidence of old worm. Handles and escutcheons are possibly original, there is no evidence of alternate holes. Some of the handle loops to the lower section are replaced and are a slightly different shape. Two screws have been used to secure each handle to the fall front drawer. When the fall is open, two plugged holes are visible. One of the catches to the fall of the fitted drawer is a replacement and the tip of the hooked arm is detached. Some strips of later tape applied to backboards.Feet are well matched replacements. Two screws used to secure each handle of the fall drawer. When the fall is open plugged holes can be seen.
