A large iron matchlock handgun in the form of a door key, the barrel being within the key shaft, with swinging matchlock arm over pan with hinged cover; probably of German manufacture. See Winant, Lewis, Firearms Curiosa, New York, 1955, p.157 for discussion. 560 grams, 30cm. (11 3/4"). Property of a Kent collector; ex Czerny Auctions, lot 449, with lot printout. Sold as an exempt item under Section 58 (2) of the Firearms Act, 1968, to be held as a curiosity or ornament. No license required but buyer must be over 18 years of age.
