2nd-early 1st millennium BC. A dome-shaped sheet-silver horse harness phalera with central floral motif and four circular piercings to the circumference for attachment. See Maxwell-Hyslop, K.R., Western Asiatic Jewellery, c.3000-612 BC, London, 1971, fig.145, for similar floral design. 2.84 grams, 35mm (1 1/2"). From a private family collection formed in London from the mid 1980s-early 1990s. [No Reserve] Condition Report Fine condition.
