2nd millennium BC-9th century BC. A group of four bronze arrowheads of four deltoid forms, two having a barbed blade with prominent midrib extending in a long tang; another with straight shoulders, projecting midrib tapering towards the point, cylindrical stem with handle for the shaft; one of foliate shape with a strong mid-rib and short tang. These types of arrowheads were commonly used in Anatolia and Mesopotamia from the 2nd millennium BC, but apparently their employment began earlier in this area, where types like these occur alongside the non-barbed, predominantly ribbed and tanged types. One of the arrowheads could be ascribed to type V, subtype D, of the Khorasani classification, comprising triangular arrowheads with lanceolate shape and rounded midrib. The straight shoulders recall a Marlik typology (see Khorasani, 2006, p.307, fig.379"). Condition Report Fine condition.
