A JAPANESE ARITA VASE LATE 17TH OR 18TH CENTURY The vase of octagonal form, with decoration of pavilions, houses, figures and trees, with later replacement cover the vase and cover 50cm high overall ON AN ASSOCIATED CHINESE RED LACQUER STAND the stand 20cm high Condition Report The vase with several vertical cracks, 24cm long and smaller. The shoulder with misfired area where the vase has the cracks. Shallow chip to rim, 2.5 x 1cm. The cover of matching design but made as a later replacement. Finial off and glued back. Firing faults throughout. The stand with top section off and re-attached. Various splits, chips and other losses.
