AN IMPRESSIVE CHARLES II SCULPTED GRITSTONE MORTARDATED 1670Of shaped cylindrical form, the recessed sides with initials 'WW' and 'CE' respectivelyapproximately 30cm high Condition Report The mortar bears the usual minor marks, knocks and scuffs overall commensurate with age and use.There is a long vertical crack running from the top edge down to the basin. Another side has a shorter crack.Diagonal loss to the top edge, and further smaller chips overall (mostly old damages).The edges are a little nibbled, though the initials and numbers are still quite crisply preserved.
