10th-11th century AD. A neck torc composed of a flat-section circlet with repoussé chevrons between pellet borders, a series of piercings to one edge for a free-running ring and dangle, the pendants decorated with columns of repoussé dots. Cf. Sedov, B.B., Finno-Ugri i Balti v Epokhi Srednevekovija, Moscow, 1987, pl.XXIX, for comparable. 175 grams, 58cm (23"). From a central London collection; previously in a European collection formed 1979-1989. [No Reserve] Condition Report Fair condition, some pendants absent.
