A PAIR OF GEORGE III MAHOGANY HALL CHAIRSCIRCA 1780With fan moulded shield backs, the underside of one chair stamped '3557'each 95cm high, 46cm wide, 37cm deep overallProvenance: By vendor's repute, Dewlish House, Dorset. Condition Report There are some marks, scratches, chips, splits, abrasions consistent with age and use, in particular the seats with a patina of heavy pitting overall.Some sections of replacement and losses including; repairs to the base of the front and back of the back of one chair and to the base of the back of the back of the other chair; spliced sections to the sides of the seats; cracks to the other seat; some traces of glue to the blocks on the underside of the seats; later metal bosses to the base of the legs.There is evidence of old worm including to the seat rails.All that said these comments on condition are only apparent on close up inspection.Please refer to the additional images for a visual reference of condition.
