硬质火成岩质，通体凿刻而成，呈层迭而生，饰以孔洞的太湖石形态。此类多为清代中期宫廷用以装陈御苑所凿刻，风格上有较强的一致性，参见北海团城、静心斋中清代乾隆年间遗存之凿刻山子。
