Gem, Enamel and Pearl Pendant. Antique Continental, most probably French, 18kt gold pendant comprised of a central carved depiction of helmeted figure with seed pearls and enamel decoration to helmet, a diamond and marquis cut faceted gem necklace layered atop a gold and seed pearl necklace, and wearing a colored gem and diamond bracelet. Central carved pendant with a laurel wreath surround, a second tier laurel wreath surround with diamond inlaid "ribbon" and a third tier of carved floral work set with (8) bezel set diamonds. Pendant bail is inlaid with a tapered band of diamond accents. Apparently unmarked, but of the utmost quality. Pendant is suspended from a 14kt gold chain link necklace. Accompanied by a "Carl H. Skinner 300 Boylston Street Boston" fitted box. Total approx. weight of pendant is 38.8 dwt (gross); total approx. weight of chain is 2.8 dwt (gross). From an Armonk, NY estate. Dimensions: pendant measures approx. 2.45" w x 3.90" h. Condition Report Good, with light surface scratches and minor dings/dents.
