此件盖盒为和阗白玉质，温润细腻，局部带红沁。器体呈方形，上下皆为矮覆斗式对开，子母口扣合。器表通身满工，浮雕一龙、一螭、一凤穿梭于祥云之间，相互对望。五官表现精细，身躯若隐若现，鬃毛飘逸洒脱，肢爪劲挺有力，须发琢刻细密。云纹琢饰粗犷，线条婉转流畅。底足呈“口”字形，足边较宽，并打洼凹槽。此件盖盒纹饰极为有趣，不论盖、身如何变换方向，盖、身口沿上下纹饰皆能完美衔接，可见当时雕琢此物者用心设计而为之，实为难得。整器工艺繁复，雕琢打磨精细，实为明代文房陈设佳品。
