Circa 900-1000 AD. An iron globular convex vessel with bulbous bottom, this vessel has tapering edges leading to two loops, attaching a thick rounded handle. Interlinked to the handle by a tapered bracket is a long chain which is interlinked wit small sections of chain which would have supported this cooking vessel about a fire. Two iron utensils, a folk and spoon accompany this cooking vessel which would have been an important utilitarian set making up the home.
