Circa 900 -1000 AD. A wonderful long forged-iron spear head with sharpened blade and cylindrical socketing shaft. The head is made from carbon steel and features a petaloid blade with a prominent midrib, sharpened edges, and a pointed tip. Size: L:440mm / W:65mm ; 275g. Provenance: From a private collection; previously was acquired from G. M. in London in 2017.
