Circa 100-300 AD An Ancient Roman Iron lancehead with central rib and integral hollow handle. Lateral holes and ribs at base for attachment to shaft. For similar see Museum of Wales, accession number: 23/4/1958. The army of ancient Rome (800 BC AD 476) was a formidable fighting power. It was exceptionally well disciplined, organised and supplied with a huge selection of effective and battle-proven weapons.
