A SOAPSTONE GROUP OF GUANYIN WITH BOY China, Republic Period (1912-1949). Guanyin seated with prayer’s beads in her left and a scroll in her right hand, covered in a loose robe, partially revealing her chest, details of her robe painted in red and green. The boy folding his hands to pray, standing with bowed head. Both figures with incised inscriptions to the back. The stone of a creamy white tone with bright white inclusions.

Condition: Very good condition with minor traces of wear, a few miniscule chips.
Provenance: Dutch private collection, according to the current owner acquired from a Dutch private collection.
