A CHINESE GREEN, YELLOW, AND AUBERGINE ‘DRAGON AND PHOENIX’ DISH China, Republic period (1912-1949). Finely painted with green and aubergine enamels on a yellow ground, depicting ruyi patterns to the show side as well as on the backside, the interior wall portrays a dragon and a phoenix chasing the flaming pearl framed by a double circle. The recessed base with a hand-painted black apocryphal six-character Qianlong reign mark.

Condition: Good condition with minor surface wear and minor manufacturing flaws.
Provenance: Hungarian private collection. According to the current owner acquired from a private collector in England.
