A KHMER SANDSTONE HEAD OF BUDDHA Khmer Empire, Angkor period, 12th-13th century. Sensitively carved with a serene expression, the rounded face shows outlined broad lips and a connected brow, all framed by large ears with pendulum earrings. The hair densely incised.
