霁红釉碗为宫廷日用器，清代御窑历代均有烧造，清咸丰朝共十一年，其间御窑厂遭太平天国战役破坏而停烧，又历经英法联军火烧圆明园之劫难，留存于世的咸咸丰官窑瓷器较少，故而十分珍稀。拍品造型规整端秀，内壁、圈足内施白釉，外壁满施霁红釉，釉质肥腴滋润，色泽深沉，为咸丰御窑色釉佳器。
