识文：客中得知己相伴以破旅愁，深以为快，厨烟萧条，不见哂足矣，何挂之齿颊耶。至迄迄翻効，乃手足常情，并屑须通融……膏车赴都，以寻前盟，快甚望之，临笔驰依，不具。弟名另肃冲。钤印：峰云字曰友石（朱） 绿竹斋（白）题跋：此广州张晴峰与若水刘公书。鉴藏印：谦斋（朱）
作者简介：张衡（1628～1701），字友石，号晴峰，直隶景县人。通经史，精鉴赏。顺治十八年进士，授内阁中书舍人，康熙二十一年任浙江学政，二十七年官陕西榆林东路道。振兴文教，时人称之。博贯经史，通音律，工诗，著有《禊亭诗选》《听虞闲集》《燕台新咏》等，在浙任上纂修《浙江通志》五十卷。
