Pair of Empire Brule parfums, England, late 18th century, so-called ''Blue-John'', polished and gilded bronze (in ormolu technique). White marble tripod base, curved satyr feet overlaid by foliage and ending in bacchanalian masquerons and rope loops. Bell-shaped lid with spigot knob. Design attributed to Matthew Boulton (1728-1809), h. 40 cm.
