此罐唇口，短頸，溜肩，通體施天青釉，器壁施釉不及底，垂釉厚重，底足經過削制顯露出細膩緻密的胎體。釉面光澤並帶有少量開片，口沿處經窯變形成了淺黃褐色，窯變釉色豔麗，不同顏色間相互交融，自然流淌。清雍正時期，造辦處所轄各種器皿作坊及景德鎮禦窯廠紛紛將古代器物作為創作藍本。在瓷器製作上，追求宋瓷釉色，本品所施仿鈞釉，釉色變化玄妙，韻味高古挺拔，體現出雍正朝制器與審美的獨到。
