墨為不規則長方體，下部菱形，中部鼓形，上部為假山形，巧妙組合成古董鋪招幌的形象。正面摹刻主題為雙耳寶鼎，鼎足為象形，飾龜背錦紋並懸一古燈。中間橫刻楷書「鑒古堂」，鼎上方三缸套疊，鼎耳右側缸體刻龍生九子之一的椒圖獸面，滿飾回紋、祥雲紋、波浪紋等，古代珍寶薈萃一身。側面署刻「嘉慶年製」。雕刻紋飾精美，描金彩繪，整體古樸簡潔，又不失華貴大氣。
