A version in Vienna (Schönborn-Buchheim collection) is assumed to be the original by the master himself.The back of the panel with a 17thC Antwerp panel maker's mark. Similar stamps are dated between 1619 and 1638. The panel maker could not be identified.Provenance: the back with an old label referring to 'Collection Mr Briens'
