款识：维中华民国十二年（1923）国庆节，为化佛仁者四十寿辰敬造菩萨像一区，愿国以永宁，人道皇显，至哲乘真长，飡飡化年，眷属内外，悉延康预，一切群生，普同斯庆，三原于右任。钤印：于、右任上款：「化佛」即钱化佛（1884-1964），原名钱苏汉，号玉斋，别号化佛，室名万佛楼。江苏常州人。早年留学日本，参加同盟会。精通戏剧、电影；亦擅画，尤以画佛像著称，并富收藏。有《化佛画存》、《化佛造像》、《化佛集》传世，亦与郑逸梅合著《三十年来之上海》。
