A Chinese watercolor and ink painting on paper of a pine tree and lingzhi by Zhao Shuru. It has two inscriptions and three seals, and it is mounted on a silk backing with wooden dowels. Dimensions are: 52 inches tall X 26 inches wide, 132.1 cm X 66 cm. All measurements are approximate. Condition: There are repairs present as well as areas of minor spotting and staining. A reminder that all lots are sold as-is. Mr. Lee was an accomplished artist in Hong Kong, where he was part of the Lingnan School, before he emigrated to San Francisco. While in San Francisco, he taught Chinese painting techniques and continued to collect Chinese paintings and calligraphy, a practice he had begun in Hong Kong.
