A Chinese rectangular Zitan wood box dating from the 18th century. The lid is carved with a Shou medallion set against a Buddhist cross meander ground. The sides also have a Buddhist cross meander. The inside is lined with yellow fabric. Dimensions are: 4 inches tall X 22 inches long X 15 inches wide, 10.2 cm X 55.9 cm X 38.1 cm. All measurements are approximate. Condition: There is cracking due to humidity as well as separation at the seams. A reminder that all lots are sold as-is.
