Late 19th Century; Original, 9.75” height, 7” length, Figural imperial guard lion or foo dog balancing a palace vase on its back. Hand painted with Japanese family, man, wife and small children. Reverse has hand painted scene with priest. The lion has minor wear to gold highlights and it has two very small early repairs on front toenail, otherwise, appears to be in excellent condition.
