Measurements: Height: 16" Diameter/Depth: 6.25" Chinese Ming Dynasty Period, porcelain vase. Potted in large cylinder vessel, vase shape, having thick and tall potted body, sturdily potted in a bulbous body, gently tapered on short neck toward opening mouth prominent, with slight flaring opening lip, and raised on flat wide round flat foot base. The exterior decorated with hand-painting in cobalt under glazed blue, depicted of mountain hills with ruyi clouds and vapors, enclosed with arrays of tropical leaves patterns on upper mouth rim. A characteristic heaped and piled effect, the under glaze grayish-blue concentrates in certain areas, bubbling through the surface of the glaze and turning a deep blue-black.
