Measurements: Height: 2.375" Width/Length: 8.125" Diameter/Depth: 8.125" Chinese Qing Dynasty Period, Jiaqing doucai porcelain bowl. The porcelain potted with a shallow body, slight deep, thick and bulbous body, with angled cavetto elevated the steep sides upward the flaring mouth rim, raised on a small round, with slight concave footing. All reserved hand painted ornamentations are rendered in clean white under glazed base color which contrast against the doucai design color. Doucai decoration design is outlined in under glaze blue and filled in with over glaze colored enamels except blue. Colors which fit together but also contrasting or joined colors. Decoration in a combination of under glaze cobalt blue outlines and enamels added on top of the fired glaze, within the outlines. The Exterior adorned of flowers blooms ornament interspersed scrolling tendril, enclosed with double fine blue rings lines on the upper mouth rim and the foot base rim. The glaze is seamless and gives off a beautiful luster, with the colors maintaining excellent vibrancy.Mark on base, a six blue script characters reign mark, Jiaqing Reign Period of Great Qing Dynasty.
